first you have to wait, google doesnt instantly index a website, let alone a forum. It could take up to a year before you get any decent traffic. For now start threads on good content for google to index and for people to comment about.

Also having a blog would help get things going. Espically if you can post 3-6 posts a day.

That's an excellent start for a forum, congratulations!

As someone else said, it may take a while for a forum to get indexed.

The main issues with forums, from what i see is that they can potentially grow too fast making google penalize it.

take interest to his advices, neigher google nor any other search engines doesnt interest with the new sites that might include spam posts eighter, but if u believe even ur posts are niche, you need time, that might be maybe 3 months, maybe 6 maybe 1 year as he said, but if you start buying links or using link exchange, that may help you some. good luck

If you want a the speedup the process of your pages to get indexed fast, get a(few) high PR links.

Find a relevant PR7 link at DP or at text-link-ads.com, you can get it in anywhere from $50 to $150/month.

I gave you alot of advice on your other thread.

I see you have updated your Meta's from the default vBulletin, but you have got...

    * Take out the / and don't double up or it may get seen as spam. Write something more descriptive using keywords people would search if they were interested in a site like yours.

    * Write descriptions for your categories, this will get more related keywords on your home page.

    * Re-write your URL's from character strings like showthread?=1234 in to /your-thread-title.html

    * Block pointless things like /calendar/ etc in your Robots.txt

    * Change the default "If this is your first visit..." In the header to your own like, "Welcome to the Football and Soccer Web Portal..." This will get more related words in the head section where it counts.

Do these basic things, and then i'd be happy to give you some more advanced advice.

if your forum is new, it take sometime tobe indexed. if you already indexed, it also take some time to compete with those existed forums. just try to get more backlinks and PR, get a good SEOs. sure you will be top 10 in 2-3 months. (yeah it's a long time and you need to be patience)

no you dont have to, just register at vbulletin.org like you would at a normal forum and then enter your vb license key to verify you have the licensed copy and you can then download the sitemap script from there.

To change the header text go:

Admin CP >> Language & Phrases >> Search in Phrases.

Then paste this text in the top box "If this is your first visit" and hit the find button. It will bring up a box with that text, just click the edit button.

Place the new text in the bottom box & click save.

I see one problem already - in your DP signature, there is no anchor text for your link - you are just using the URL as the anchor text. What makes you think you will rank high for football and soccer keywords if the only keyword Google knows is your URL?

It doesn't sound like you know too much about SEO. Visit sites like http://www.seo-news.com and I am sure you can get up to speed very quickly.

    Good luck! :)
