Atleast there is one thing than, that i won't ever understand.
1:Why do Webmaster's care so much about there listing into DMOZ?
2:Why is a DMOZ listing considered as an extra feature specially when speaking of a site's features.?
3:If opening up submission was not the ODP's intention, what is the intention of ODP than?

These are my own questions that i answered myself for myself, but i need to know what are the real answers from an expert.

Ans#1:Google gives importance to a site listed in DMOZ so Webmasters are concerned much, *Just what i heard but i need an expert's answer*
Ans#2:Google's importance to a ODP listed site means good serp's or ranking so a good factor for a site features. *again my thoughts and thinking need an expert's view*
Ans#3:ODP's intention is to list all worthy sites so people can find them, holy cow i never landed on a dmoz page ever when i went to search something *again i need an expert view*

    Thanks

    Smoke Crack much?

Mind defining "regular intervals" for us so we can understand that you are spreading nothing but lies? There has NEVER and I seriously mean NEVER been anything even remotely resembling "regular intervals" in relation to the Google Directory.

The last time it was touched was 2005 and before that there was a huge gap. So if this is regular then I better get the rest of my sites listed so they can make it in around 2009

I can finally see that Google has updated their directory from the ODP. It has only been about 18 months since the last one.:D

Drat, now we have to stop using that as a point of the worthlessness of the ODP ;)

Oh well, at least those that are listed may get some actual perks now, as I can certainly see someone using that directory over any other...though this'll also mean a lot more work for the current meta community as well as they will likely be flooded with submissions once the word gets fully out.

    YAY 4 teh ODP

Unlikely, most of the banter from editors is that google has regularly updated their listings...

Though, we can still use the rebuttal that "regular" in the case of directory.google updates is once every 2 years ;)

I think you were looking at an old cache anyway, gb! I couldn't see you listed when you first said you were still there. But nice to see you are missing completely from Google now. We can't have skunks stinking up Google. :D :D

That's fine, but I don't really care if they use us or not, but if they do I would want them to use the updated versions with new links and many of the dead ones removed.
