this is what I saw today on my site:



publishers site can not contain adult/pornographic content but does this mean google can display ads such as above

 

Adwords Advertiser Cannot do this , I wondered google changed their TOS ?
Or it's just an error

 

did you see if the site the ad linked to really containted adult content? maybe it are just movies, with no pornography in it...

 

I guess they did not see that these are adult adds. Can you show me the exact URL where you see the adult adds?

 

I did not see its URL and that ad is not appearing again if it appears again I will post it.

 

Google have published adult Ads for years - subject to the legality of the content. You just can't publish them on an adult site.

 

My site does nothave ant adult stuff nor i have any plans for the same I am just pointing to the first google ad on the screen image which i think is adult ad i did not click to find its URL as it would be against the TOS.

 

I didn't say you site did have any adult content.

It looks like the ads are just off topic.

It's not against Googles TOS to advertise adult sites with Adwords

 

In any case the displaying add has to match with the content of the website.

 

may be a virus

search "adsense virus" in google.

 

Its something that you are not allowed to put AdSense on Adult sites, but did they ever say adult sites will not appoear on adsense publisher sites ?

You are right Dreamchaser i have to agree to their TOS to participate in Adsense. Take a look at another section:

Nice or not, if you want to earn money from Adsense then you have to play with their ball, I've seen plenty worse ads that that turning up on Adsense.

 

So how can one block them? By contacting Google?

 

I'm not sure you can, though I've never looked into it specifically. Try dropping Google an email if you're concerned.

 

In this particular instance, I don't think it's such a big deal. I highly doubt there's any actual pornography on that site and "Adult Humor" can mean a lot of things. An R-rated movie can be classified as "Adult Humor" for instance. Family Guy can be classified as "Adult Humor", etc. In the US, "Adult Humor" doesn't always equate to sex and pornography. Just look at Adult Swim. It has nothing to do with pornography, it's just a bunch of cartoons that are targetted towards adults (like South Park).
