Google Display Bars Like DP :)

    Yes, i too can see it. Its a bar code and it seems its the birthday for bar code today and hence google, as part of their doodle series has come up with the bar code symbol instead of their google logo.

    New logo by Google is bar code which is representing Google. Reason behind this logo is that today is the 57th anniversary of the first patent on the bar code. Norman Woodland and Bernard Silver are the inventors and this happened on 7th October 1949.

    The barcode on the Google homepage is Code 128 encoded, which is a standard way of encoding ASCII character strings (ie. A-Z, a-z, 0-9, etc.) into a barcode.
