Google directory update

Discussion in 'Directories' started by iconrate, Apr 25, 2005.

I'm seeing some big changes in google directory (in the category I'm interested in). The top site even appears to have gone up to a higher pr than any site has since i've been following this at the beginning of last year. Looking good now :)
And imo I don't think this pr update is over, a lot of my sites are still changing prs across all dcs. I've not lost all hope yet.

Yup looks like a update. Nice movement for my main site. I haven't checked to see if PR has stablized. I assumed it was over. I hope it isn't especially for my photo site.

I assumed it was over too... didn't see any updates over the weekend but today it seems to have picked up again? Seeing changes on all domains now.

Why does originalicons show more PR in the directory than what it actually has?

I've read other threads that note that directory pr is different from toolbar pr and is on a scale of 8? I think that could be it, that and I think toolbar pr isn't fully updated yet anyway. I can hope, and believe there's a chance that backlink update isn't finished either.... almost everyone complained that it was an odd update. The bls showing for my site are really really weird and most are foreign, some haven't existed in months. Not seeing any of the higher pr bls.

Originalicons shows PR5 on every datacenter. I don't understand why it shows a PR6 or 7 at the directory.

Yeah the google directory PR is not on a scale of 1 to 10. I always wondered why they did that.

Even so, why would a PR5 site show such a big difference, when many of the sites bellow are also PR5?

Well i'm noticing that google is reverting back to the PR for the previous quarter.

I'm noticing it on these datacenters:

    64.233.171.99
    64.233.171.104
    64.233.171.105
    64.233.171.147
    216.239.53.99

Brought to you courtesy of: http://www.goya-rank.com/page-rank.php

This is a good and bad thing for me, but mostly good.

Been like that for 2 days, but I doubt there will be any rollback
