I have just used google desktop. Its theme is so cool. I can put all my tasks in gogle desktop to keep track. I can use it to chat, read news ... It is worth to try. But only one thing i do not like, it keeps my personal information and i wonder if it keep them secret.
Google desktop certainly does rock I've been using it actively for more than a year and it's pretty cool!
Somewhere there is an option to tell it not to keep a record of your search history. I don't remember where it is, but might want to look for it.
I do n't like Google Desktop as it always slows down my computer (Even though I have 512 MB) and also with that you can't be sure whether Google is spying on you or not!
The same thing crossed my mind. We have 3 computers at home 1 gig RAM 2 gig RAM Laptop @ 1 GIG RAM Nothing too fancy. But when I read the "512" I thought "512... no wonder its slowing down". Now, 512 is better than my first computer when I had 32 RAM and Windows 3.1 - but it's getting there
My new computer came pre-installed with Google Desktop, and one of the first things I did was switch off its indexing and desktop widgets. I'm wondering whether or not I should uninstall it altogether. What are the best reasons to keep it?
