Google deleted my backlinks

One of my sites went from PR3 to PR0.
I went into Google Webmaster Tools, and there are no incoming links into the site anymore, except 3 from a squidoo page I made.
Has this ever happened to anybody?

Yes. It's at least one year old.
What's weird is that some of my other sites link to it and BAM - Google says I have only 3 external links (from a single Squidoo page).
And this is in the webmaster tools. My other sites are faring better.

I think the sites or pages your links come from is deleted by google or they are devalued due to spaming SEO method. CMIIW.

I used 3waylinks on the site, and I think GOOG has figured it out. Time to ditch and get real links....

I hope it's just a data center error. If you were selling any links or were involved in any kind of spamming (including email spamming), google can reduce PR to 0. Normally removal of backlinks is associated with deindexing..

I have a blog that has NO backlinks ! although I have been posting on do follow blogs for the past 2 months. It could be a case that it has taken google a long time to update their backlinks, or a computer error.

Why will happen to anybody else in exactly the same manner? The situations are case by case matter. In your case it may be that you may have accumulated links which are of low quality (in violation of Google terms or sites which have been NOW banned or not working). Kindly check your links and start working on better linking patterns. Go for articles, social media and blogs etc

    Thank you

I think google never deletes, it might be that it is not taking into consideration.

I think it took all links previously taken into consideration, and tossed them - even the quality links.
I'm starting to rebuild slowly... Doh!
