Google Datacenter versus Library

Recently I have saw the amount of pages in the google index from the Library drop from 1000 to about 700 but the odd thing is that the indexed pages across the google datacenters have increased from 1000 to around 4600.

What is the reason for this?

Does this have something to do with the recent update and should I expect a large boost of pages in the library soon?

I have never seen this big of a difference between what was in the datacenter and what was returned from search results.

    Thanks,

The "library" where google.com pulls results into from the datacenters from what I have read.

Ultimately what I mean is the difference between what is in.

    http://www.yourcache.com (google datacenters query)

and what comes up from a site: query from google.com (the library).
