Hi people Don't understand the Google Dance if I am honest. My site is 18 months old and may be coming out of the closet. On here http://www.seochat.com/googledance/ my site ranks page one for many competitive terms but on Google.co.uk it does not Does this mean that is will move in the co.uk shortly like in a few days? Cheers Valley
The information on that site is outdated. Google does'nt do a monthly dance anymore. It updates continually now.
If You want to rank in google.co.uk, it will of course help You if You have a co.uk domain, but possibly more if Your hosting is in UK.
I know all that guys, but question is, does that mean I am about to rank high in the UK or just very popular in Dallas
Correction, think I know everything.... but just because you think you know everything does not mean you are right! Asking if this serps jump on different datacenter is a sign that it may be soon to rank in the UK? Cheers Valley
Sadly, I do not know everything I simply tried to give some advice. You will not rank well in google.co.uk unless You have Your hosting in UK, and also it would help to have a .co.uk domain. The serps do normaly differ a bit in different datacenters. It could also possibly help if You actualy give some info about Your site and keywords. Anyway, if You are trying to rank in google.co.uk, I wish You luck.
To rank for any other local domain like .co.uk you have to get links from the same local domain extension as well as it's better to host your site on a server located in that country and the best thing you can do is getting a domain with .co.uk for your website.
never mind was hoping someone else had experience of serp updates and if they cold be extrapulated from other data centers. guess no one has. time will tell
It was an update. The site is now generally page one or page two, and the DATA centers just gave me a few days warning on this
Hello, Where do you want to rank? If you want to rank in Uk, a good idea could be host your domain in a UK hosting
i really don't think where u host matters.. i host in the U.S. and i'm doing very well (at times top) in google.es (spain) i also have sites that are oriented to other markets (ecuador, mexico and so on) and one thing i've noticed is that it's best to get inbound links from strong PR sites in that community.. in other words get some strong inbound links from other UK websites.
I already rank. The dance was an indication that I was about to. Fire enough juice and you can rank for everywhere
