The Google dance wont fluctuate that much! maybe 10 point difference or less. You may done something fishy. You should not panic though, just wait and see what happens latter. Sometimes new sites usually have a period of honeymoon before finally settling on their right position. Keep on SEO ing.

i think its googlel dance. I sew a site ranking on 27 but after a day it was 159,but in 2 days it again came to 27. so google dance could affect to change ranking of such an amount.
your site punished i think, have u changed anything in onsite or have u stop seo work for that keyword.
recheck again your ranking next week. If it still 129 place you got penalize by google. If not, then that is google dance. chachacha....
Sounds like a Google Dance to me. I'm not understanding though - did your site move up or down? A previous site I was SEOing shot up a huge 40 pages once after a change in TITLE and H1 tag. It then went back down a few and then started moving up consistantly week after week. Give it time and hopefully you'll see small increments on a weekly basis.
Google Dance will not occurs ranking too down, it may be fluctuation or the key word, where you are checking your ranking, you might have collected lots of back links for same keywords, it occurs when you get lots of back links in short time on same anchor tag. Try to use some related words on your anchor tag while taking link back, like you need link back on "seo india" keyword, than try to get back link on affordable seo india or seo services india. this linking maths will help you to boost up ranking.
Sorry to hear that. No, I wouldn't say that was a Google dance. There's been some penalties recently that I've read about, with sites being penalised on a 30, 60 or 90 position basis. Can you answer these questions, it would help clear things up a little. How long has your site been indexed for? How long were you at position 51? Have you made any changes recently? Are you actively acquiring backlinks?
sounds like google dance to me tooo. When I do any new sites and do SEO, usually they are listed way on the top and then go down and come back a little to the top and settle down. Then the process of linking and seoing takes care of whether you go up from there or down.
How new is your website? You might be in Google's sandbox, or the "honeymoon stage" as Waxman1000 said. I haven't notices big changes in the SERPs over the last few days, so I don't think it is the Google Dance. I wouldn't focus on your keyword density too much. You might be over doing it. Just write good content for your target audience and focus on optimizing your header and title tags. Also be sure to write a unique description for each page. If you do this and build quality links (not spam), your rankings will get much better over time.
@waxman I got so depressed when I found out yesterday that my blogs SERP traffic has dropped dramatically from 500 to 83. Its a new blog and it means a lot for me. I had no idea what was going on and then I found your comment here. Can you please tell us more about google dance? If its not google dance is it possible that I have been penalised? As you said if its google dance we shouldn't worry about it and everything will come to normal stat within weeks. But what happens when a site is penalized? How exactly does google punish them and for how long? BTW, I have already been through google honeymoon period and sandbox once so I know how those things work. What do you mean with period of honeymoon? Is it possible for my blog to go into sandbox again?
