There are no "your search engine results" and "my search engine results" - it's just "search engine results". And Googles search results are updated on a continuous basis as new pages and backlinks are added to the index - a process sometimes called "everflux". Just because you don't notice changes occurring does not mean that the results are static.
Yeah minstrel is right there are no such thigs as your search engine and my search engine. All the same.
You talking to me? There is my keyword search results and your keyword search results and millions of other keyword search results. To think that all keyword search results are handled in exactly the same manner and at exactly the same time is limited thinking sir. According to Matt Cutts, your above statement could not be more wrong. There are updates. They are frequent, but not daily, and certainly not "continuous". Some are small and hardly noticeable, some are large. They affect different areas of the SERPs; sometimes affecting a geographical area of the world, sometimes trying to reduce spam. I agree, it's not the same as years gone by where the SERPs would change drastically in a few days or in a week, but updates do exist, unless Matt Cutts is blatantly lieing and dozens of webmasters accross several forums are hallucinating. I check the top 20 for my keywords everyday. When was the last time you checked my keywords? Never, of course. How can you tell me they are changing continuously if you are not checking them? Thank you, Bompa
Thats why they dint mention their names . It wasnt me who gave you red, but your attitude does not seem to get Greens. as i asked you before - Be nice, dont act in GayDood's way. or you'll head to be another double redded Guy after IamNerd and GayDood. Hint: DO Not Use abusive language.
Matt Cutts is talking about algo changes which are not everyday. However that algo is applied on a constant basis therefore SERPs are in constant movement. Its a fact.
Not entirely sure what you are meaning there minstrel. There are 'my search results' and 'your search results'. It's called Geo targetting. If you run a search at the same time as me, the chances are that we won't see exactly the same results. This could be due to numerous things, slight differences in dc's or just that some of the results are geo targetted towards our respective locations.
Thats different. The OP was indicating that there are Minstrel results and JLawrence results regardless of location Basically he was being an ass to Minstrel
I think a strange thing is happened to my keyword results. Most of my results for the site having largest no. of pages, back links, SEOs have gone down. While some keyword rankings for sites I really didn't care for have gone up. I also see some results much higher than my sites of websites which have not been updated for almost a year as the company operating them has stopped that bussines altogether. Also results are more unrelated and not exactly what a common person is looking for. It seems that Google has just turned it upside down. Also it seems it is now giving more weightage to keywords in the domain name.Comments?
