    I am trying to figure out how these 3 websites did this. They are kids search engines that when you search for a "bad" word it says oops.
    The 3 sites are:

    That's because they have "Safe Search" turned on in the CSE. I think it's turned on by default.

    You can also do the same thing with Bings Web Serach API
