Google Cross Channel Tracking Eliminated?

    Hello,

Does anyone have any information about why the cross channel tracking is no longer available to setup for new accounts at Google? Cross Channel tracking was good for more than just adwords since it could be used for articles, news releases, banners, etc.

They must have replaced this with something, but the question is what and how?

Supposedly there is something within Analytics and you have to turn on E-Commerce, but we cannot locate how we specify a unique URL from the outside world to our website to track specific source clicks and conversions.

Anyone have any knowledge on this topic?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Unfortunately, not one has replied to this question in two weeks. In the meantime we have pursued discussions with Google and found that Google Cross Channel Tracking has been replaced by using the URL Builder found here:

Further information can be located with a description here:

In order to utilize these tracking methods, you need a the current Google Analytics code in the web pages to track information about your origin.

    Hope this helps someone.
