In searchenginejournal I've read article directories like EzineArticles hits by google after G's recent Algo changes. Many time I was frustated after seeing EzineArticles dominating 1'st page in google for my keyword eenthoug that page contains mere 300 word crap content. Today I've noticed EzineArticles disappeared from 1st page for some (relatively high) of the keywords and my blog pages gains!!! Thanks to Google team. http://domainnamewire.com/2011/02/28/ezinearticles-com-cracks-down-after-google-algorithm-changes/
What is your collective take on the value of backlinks from article sites now that the latest Google slap has had its impact?
I have a blog at affiliatestartingline.com. But I do use articles to build backlinks to niche sites. It seems too early to tell if article directories will have long term decline. I still see articles ranking pretty well when the content is good. What's your experience?
It's always been known, that "CONTENT is KING" and Google is making that known now more than ever,... the simple solurion is to supply QUALITY content... plain and simple!
Google recently updated their algorithm and they already said in their blog post, removed more than 20% of spam from their index and moving on.
Google is going to drop the ranking of the sites that are using various farming techniques as well as black hat tech. So this is good news for those who are using best content as well as white hat.
