Google Counting Sitewides?

    During this recent update my backlinks went from 10 to 455. The weird thing is that over 75% of my backlinks are from one site that I bought a sitewide text link on a while ago. I always thought that Google didnt put a lot of stock into sitewides?

    G may be showing them on their bl report...but it doesn't mean they are giving them weight. Since G is currently notorious for under reporting actual backlinks... it sort of serves their purpose to report lots of sitewides...especially if they do give little value to site wides.

    google goes out of their way to give useless garbage data for those doing SEO.

    what is shown in their backlinks may not have much to do with what they use for ranking criteria
