Anyone else get this thing, haven't opened it. But says that on the outside and about the size of a mini fridge. What the heck is it?
It's actually at my old address so I haven't seen it, just how it was described to me. I'll see if I can get a pic. Ok, just got more info on it, pictures coming soon... 18x18x10 or so, could be way off, and says "Cooler Thinking, Google AdWords" Probably a picnic cooler or something.
I found pics of someone elses at http://img45.imagevenue.com/img.php?loc=loc121&image=42403_googlefridge.jpg The person opened mine and said it was the same thing. I should have mine shipped to my new address soon. The person who got mine said it runs on batteries.
looks pretty cool ive always wanted one of them tiny fridge things.. how cool would it be to have a beer cooler in the PC room! its not uncommon for PPC companies to send advertisers or publishers things like this i have recieved a few smallers things such as a $100 starbucks card (which i couldnt use in new zealands starbucks shops so sent to a US friend) and a PEN!
I would much rather have one of these than those mouses and stuff that they sent for Christmas (but not to me )!
Were these just sent to Adwords advertisers? Or were they sent to Adsense publishers as well? How much do you need to make/spend to get get Google Gifts?
I believe it is AdWords only as it says "Google AdWords - Cooler Thinking" on it. Some people were saying you need over 1 million clicks in AdWords to get one. I have 1.5 million in my account so far.
*Runs off to check his Adwords account* 9,700 clicks... Does anyone know what it requires to get Google Gifts as an Adsense Publisher?
I think you have to set the "bend over" option in your adwords account. So that each new campaign you set up, you automatically pay google's "recommended" cost per click.
thats nice of google to give gifts like this to publishers. thanks google! but then again it would be even nicer if this sandbox was taken away from my site
