Google conversion stats. Anyone get them to work reliably?

For the life of me I cannot get Google conversions to work properly. Some conversions are recorded in Adwords, but most not. And the information given on CB for setting up conversion tracking is ambiguous at best. Plus I have conflicting info from vendors that support Google tracking (note: this is Conversion tracking not Analytics)

If you follow the step by step guide @ http://www.clickbank.com/help/account-help/account-tools/integrated-sales-reporting/, step #31 says "Enter your Google AdWords Account ID" in your account settings "Integrated Sales Reporting" section.

BUT, in that section under "Edit" the Help box says use "var google_conversion_id" value as the "Google Account ID". But Google Account ID != Google Conversion ID. So which is it? Using both ID's will cause conversions to appear in Adwords funnily enough, but the Conversion ID will over report sales & the Account ID will under report.

Also when passing the "gid" parameter in your url i.e. http://YOURCBID.Product.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=12345&gid=$gid I've been told 2 things by different vendors. One lot say use your Conversion ID as the parameter and the other lot say use your AdWords Account ID. Tried all combinations, but none seem to work, other than an odd sale recorded here or there.

Would love a definitive answer from someone who is using tracking & getting reliable consistent results.

Clickbank + Adwords never really worked that well for me. Try doing CPA.

huh? how is your answer related to my question. Adwords + CB does brilliantly well $$$ wise, but recording conversions is fubared. Hence my question.
