Google Confirms GMail Accounts Have Been Deleted

    They are not . Btw none of my mail account or my friend's mail account were deleted . I believe its a rumour but if its true then whom should we rely on ..LOL ..

    oh dear... such things could happen to gmail?? woo.. how can we back up gmail? I got all my essential in Gmail coz they provide easy searching services.. hmm... scary.

    You get POP3 access on gmail. So, just download all your email to your own machine and there is nothing to worry about.

    Actually i think gmail still says beta.

    Not sure actually, cause I don't use it that much.

    I don't believe the deletion of gmail accounts is true. Well, unless another DP member's gmail account has been deleted and he shares it in this thread.

    I couldn't imagine how I will be if they delete my gmail account,which is my primary email!

    I would recommend to always use one's business domain for business correspondence. Also, make sure you setup a good redundancy system via "cron job" backup and if possible, a secondary mail server.

    Yes, I agree :)

    However, I do hope that this is only a rumour as more and more sectors are using Gmail as their business contacts..
