Has Google overdone it's simplicity that made it so wonderful? Google used to be one of the best places to search for computer problem fixes or information. If you had a problem you had never seen before you just typed in some symptoms and Google spit out great results. Now, though, Google figured that people wanted to know more about how to get a new computer, rather than fix it yourself. I was looking up how to fix an error with my keyboard mapping switching to Dvork, when I noticed all I saw was history on Dvork and how to buy a Dvork keyboard. I had talked to a buddy who typed in the exact same thing as me, for the exact same problem yet where he got answers, I got ads. I have been trying to find an alternative to Google for computer problems, but nothing has caught my eye. If anyone agrees, or knows a site that I can use, please post your comments if ye dare.
I also just noticed that the ads by google under every post have NOTHING to do with most of the stuff on the pages I view...
Proper search strings are required when looking up computer solutions, what is the problem and what string were you using? If your seeing strictly ads you might have some spyware installed injecting fake results in Google searches.
