Google is thinking big: of ultra high speed broadband internet connection that can deliver 1gigabit per second service through fibre-to-the-home connection (that will make a 100 times speedier connection the best offered today). They'll experiment this in cherry-picked locations around US...
1gigabit per second is a huge speed. but I don't think this would work outside US. for example, in my country 3.6Mbps is the best speed to offer.1gigabit per second is a dream for 3 rd world countries.
really?i've heard of 100 mbps, but not 1,000. you could download a dvd in less then a minute. even if you found sources that could upload that, your hard drives couldn't write that fast.
