That didn't take long... Found this article at engadget.com: "Color us skeptics on this one, but we've met a tipster claiming to have the scoop on Google Switch. This version of the mythical Googlephone is said to be the result of a collaboration with Samsung -- not Alpha Networks or HTC. Of course, it's a button-less touchscreen device as is the rage these days only this time with GPS built-in for pinpoint navigation around Google Maps. What's pictured in that all too familiar blur (Photoshopped Much?) is the phone's contact program said to be an extended version of Gtalk combining Gmail, text and instant messaging. According to our tipster, the device doesn't have any on-board storage. That's right, all your applications are served up over the network with new apps "attached" to your account via a web interface. So what is it... the real deal or engorged fanboy fantasy? Check the gallery below for biggie pics suitable for dissection."engadget.com" I wonder who they will choose as a phone carrier? Knowing Google, they will want to make something unique and proprietary. But only time will tell, I like everyone else who learn about this deal will follow it closely on this one. Maybe even meet another tipster at a convention.
I would actually believe it. I have a contact at Google that let me in on plans that Google has for free wifi and cell coverage for all major cities, sponsored by adsense of course!
wow, all those that you guys are tlaking about are huge... What i wana see is one of these big companies offering free wireless in big cities (and perhaps pay for it by ads)
Is it true Google Coming up with the iPhone Killer gadget Now the competition will me more interesting as Google has Entered the battle field
I thought google had a major role in the iPhone? Why would they want to compete with it too? In addition..didn't Google decide to stop taking on new projects and focus on building their existing stuff? That wasn't very long of a break if this phone is really Google's.
