    Hello,

I have a site that started in june 2008. The site is multilanguage (6
languages) and all pages (3000) are indexed in google.

I have some very good backlinks. In google.com the pages are ranking
    very good for their keywords.

The -for example- dutch pages are having top position in the serps in
google.com for their keywords... But in google.nl (netherlands)
    nothing is ranking.

    I have many .nl backlinks.

So the question is: Does it take longer before the pages start to rank
    in google.nl?

Or... is the following tag the reason why the pages do not rank in
    google.nl:

    Any help would be great!

You can tell Google were you like to come up, go to Google webmaster tools and set your geographical preferences

Google datacenter is diif from .com to .nl. But there should be some synchronization. has to get some position in SER. Better check with some analatic online tool to get exact position of keyword . Almost i knwon only check on .com. com.uk not nl

What this means is that your site has not MATURED enough to rank for specific country.

It is basically that these sites have old backlinks and google has realized the geo-targeting.

I know cause I have same problem.

Thanks, but I want to come up everywhere so setting a preference is not an option.

Thank you. I have checked analytics. After UK and US, Netherlands send me the most visitors. I also see in my other stats (webalizer) that google.nl sends me visitors as well.

The strange thing is that for some dutch keywords I have top 3 results in google.com but for the same search string in google.nl my site is nowhere...

Can it be that it takes longer before you start to rank in these 'local' google's

So you mean I just have to wait before I start to rank in the .nl engine?

Yes its more like this that a new website has to work had more.

In case you have a good backlink flow, you will notice that your search ranking keep show slight up and down.

You should wait until next PR update takes place.
