Google.com VS google.co.uk - Who comes first?

I have a site that ranks at the top 3 on page 1 of google.com , but ranks on page 3 when using google.co.uk
even though it is a .co.uk domain,

am using wordpress and the usual plugins - all in one seo and XML sitemaps

What do i need to do to get the ranking higher on google.co.uk

please advice, every little bit of advice will help

I have never really got into the back link world, any advice or directions will help me alot

get more people/traffic to browse your site from UK.

find people in social network who lives in UK and share your site to them.

 

yes Pindot is right, if you get more backlinks from .uk domain then your site can rank well on .uk google domain also

 

Does the hosting make a difference, currently am using a UsA provider- host gator

 

The default ranking you achieved for optimizing any kind of keyword would be Google.com and if you want to get good ranking on Google.co.uk than you have to build backlinks on .CO.UK websites and you should target local websites for that.

 

The hosting make a difference but I'm not sure that this is the thing that will make the difference.
If you can do both, get UK host and direct the uk users to server, and also get uk back links as suggested above.

 

Have you tried to set targeted region in Google Webmaster tools?

 

Go through the top 3 ranking sites on .co.uk with a fine toothcomb, on page, off page, hosting etc etc and compare to yours, there you will find your answer.

 

Get quality links from UK domain and hosting. UK IP is important for you. It's better to change your hosting from US to UK

That's because your website might have more back links indexed in Google.com as compared to Google.co.uk.
The best part is you can control this, make sure you build back links for your website from US based websites and directories. There are several UK based web directories where you ca submit your website.
Also participate in UK based classifieds websites so that Google.co.uk will notice that you deals in United Kingdom majorly.

getting a server from UK ip address will help a lot if you plan to rank well in .co.uk

 

It due to less backlink from uk authority site

 

The Wiered thing is that I have. Of done any back links at all.

Im using the sniper site system, so am on Page 1 in no time.

No back links, no SE linking, no blackhat just simple Wordpress site with the right plugins, and a keyword choose. Domain.

So above is what am doing, it's ranking excellent on google.com.
But all my clients and customers are UK based.

It's depend on your domain & hosting server. If you are targeting your domain like (www.xyz.co.uk) then it's comes quickly in google.co.uk.

 

wordpress is one of the best site for submission article.i think google.co.uk will be better for this purpose.
