Why do i have different position for the same keyword on google.com and google.co.in? Why is it so hard to promote the keyword on google.com than co.in?
Because google.com is more global target where as in google.co.in there is less competition as its targeted to indian users only
Google.com is global search engine, but Google.co.in is local and you have less sites to compete with.
I cannot even open google.com everytime I land to google.co.in how am I supposed to view my rankings on google.com
Google.com targets on US sites and Google.co.in target on Indian sites. So Google.co.in gives priority to Indian sites and keywords.
It's because they uses different datacenters to serve results. You need to optimize your site for both of them individually. Though the basic procedure is same.
Because data center has localization criteria when it comes to ranking. And they don't update at the same time.
Go to Google.com (which would also redirect you to Google.co.in) then look and click "Google.com in English"..
i have see this type of changes in my site as well.. i think they changing something... i think they new algo and indexing 1 by 1 page again..what you all think?
google.com would have more competition when compared to google.co.in. So it is easy to rank in .co.in
Google.com is 4 global search so there are many competitors..While Google.co.in is just for India so here less competitors.. So on different search engines u will see different ranking..
.com generally targets US vistiors. If u go with .co.in or .co.uk or whatever CCTLD (country coded top level domain) then your search results will be more personalised and gets you the pages relevant to ur country. Its always good to find your position at .com or simply like this www.google.com/search?q=[keyword] Hope this helps.
When you are using .co.in the result will come from local data center and these results are more comprehensive as compare to google.com, so I prefer when you are in india then co.in is best but when you are targeting the whole world then google.com is best.
