As far as you know. At one time, Google divided small and large publishers at the 100,000 page impression per day mark. Any examples of large publishers being culled in this round? Are you OK? Speculation is one of the first steps in analysis. You make a theory and then you see if it fits the available facts. That's how the process works.
It could be something to do with the new T and C's. I have seen post around the net from people who had accounts accounts banned with the same sent email by Adsense as long ago as January.......but then again I don't know when they first started the new T and C's
Y'know, what's interesting about the Google blog is the reference to Gadget Ads. From the page: This makes me think that some forms of user onpage-tracking systems might interfere with this new Google product, for example, ClickTale - what do you think?
Google's policies are: Poorly written Randomly enforced Enforced by people without the education or training required to read and interpret them Enforced without a reasonable appeals process I am amazed that I have not been kicked out of the publishers program already.
Seems that some of the people that were banned are now saying their accounts have been reinstated. Maybe they had their accounts suspended because they hadn't signed the new Terms & Conditions policy in the time alloted.
I think these closures are happening to sites that really hold no value for advertisers. Think about it - a MySpace theme site just isn't that valuable - who's going to click the ads on it, anyway? And those who do click are probably younger people who have no purchasing power anyway.
I got my account disabled and My appeal was rejected by Adsense. The only explanation they gave me is that I wasn't elligible to adsense anymore....
I am still kicking .... I am with you Will : I am still clinging on, I wonder if having an old account holds any value ? I have had an account for 3 years - maybe that's why I am never hassled .... touch wood.
