Whenever I did a site: check on any of my websites I used to get all kind of ugly stuff... urls with no cache or description... supplemental results...

I am checking right now and everything seems much cleaner, all the pages have a correct cache and description.
    Good work, Google! :D

I'm seeing the exact opposite on one domain.

    Really? Which one?

I have noticed that every Amazon store site is now showing supplemental results... looks like their algo was modified to clean those up

A lot of the spam has vanished and, in my little corner, the top pages are not entirely stores. All this is grand. Good for Google!

Yeah I have noticed it recently on several of my sites. Even puts my front page right at the top. Havent it seen it propogate to my regular dc last time I checked, but have been seeing it on the main jagger3 for a while.

    Hope they keep the order.

Just wish I didn't still have it telling me I have 140k pages for a site with 12% that many pages and the api shows like 10 pages.

I've had a site reporting 20k pages for almost 2 month. They are real pages, but the stupid API is only counting 8 of them... same thing is happening to many other sites, and of course I end up with a coop weight of 7 :D

It's one of my blog sites. I know Google has been cleaning up blogs and their rankings, so it comes as no surprise if there's going to be some sort of penalty of sorts. Though I have others that have been cleaned up quite a bit and have accurate descriptions and titles.

I'm seeing the opposite too. One the sites i work for produces unique content everyday and google used to index each page with full title, description...today however some of the internal pages (mostly forum pages and some regular html pages) are not showing any title and description..only showing the url...i checked to see if those pages were copied by someone..but they weren't...strange...the overall rankings went down as well..any thoughts???

Clearly, Google is having some issues with indexing pages.

I have been monitoring the same search...
    site:forums.digitalpoint.com+sleeping bags
for a year and a half now and here are the results of that search since October 18th:
    1070 - 10/18/2005
    1050 - 10/19/2005
    1040 - 10/20/2005
    Unchanged from previous date
    1050 - 10/22/2005
    Unchanged from previous date
    418 - 11/04/2005
    409 - 11/05/2005
    Unchanged from previous date
    2300 - 11/09/2005
    2290 - 11/10/2005
    Unchanged from previous date
    409 - 11/17/2005

How do you think such problems would translate into Google finding/counting links to your pages?

I'm seeing both good and bad depending on the search. One term givees the top 5 spots to ebay stores. That may be good or bad?
One term gives tops sites to all good and relevant sites.
One term has a few scraper sites (ones with some content).

I don't know if it is something with my computer, the google API, or the DP keywork ranking tool here, but something odd is going on and I hope the result is my pages finally getting indexed.

I havent been able to properly check my rankings with the tool here in 3 days. Every day, it starts, but quites and says I have exceeded my 1,000 querie limit. Google shows less pages indexed at the moment than it ever has (870 per the DP tool), when I have 35,000.

Maybe this house cleanup will allow for more of my pages to be allowed "into the house"
