Was looking for the same thing. Unfortunate Google did not include the PR indicator in Chrome's first release.
Google try to minimize functionalities in Chrome. They only focus on Speed and stability of the browser.. In their next launch maybe they will include add-on in Chrome like firefox...
though its hard to know that pr is not embedded in chrome. as google stands for its pr all over the web. people are always on the lookout to check the pr of a website as soon as they first visit a unknown site.. i hope they come up in a week or less with some default plugins..
Chrome is just a beta program but I'm sure in the near future someone will release an add on for this.. I also was missing this when I installed it.
yes i also didn't got google toolbar plug in bt it will release soon in next release.hope to see the pagerank of website soon........
i think that show the important of PR to google's view. PR not important = cut it out of Chrome's features.
having a page rank requires it to send a message off to google-land and get a reply back - takes time and uses resources... though it is irritating as hell browsing with pagerank so back i go to firefox
