I won't install it. If its from Google it has to be collecting info about how you surf or offer some other benefit to them. Google is an advertising company, so I believe it will be used some how to "enhance" their ad network in some way.
My review about google chrome: 1. it is neat and clean 2. it is fast 3. it uses less computer recourses. but: 1. it does not have any extension yet. 2. it does not support bookmarking ect. 3. IT CRASHES easily.
Faster and easier to use, but just a day after installing it... someone was able to install some trojan on my PC while I surf the web testing Chrome. I found 4 dll files in my system32 and removed them. Don't know for sure if they have anything to do with Chrome, but I have not reinstalled chrome. I will wait until much is know about Chrome to install it again.
I've been trying it for a few days Pros: - I like the fact you can kill tabs if the site becomes unresponsive (but aware that each tab uses a separate process!) - clean design - seems fast Cons: - I miss my Firefox plugins!! - I've found one bug in particular whereby if you start to type in a URL or search keywords in the address bar, the dynamic dropdown appears and sometimes if I use arrow keys to move to the entry that I want and hit enter to go to the site, the tab closes completely
@ mdbro71 i dont find the second problem u are facing.. but i just like it and cant wait it to get out of beta.. and yes i am also missing firefox plugins...
I've actually just installed it on my other computer. Its hard getting used to because it's so different from other browsers, but my overall rating is an A+
It runs faster than Internet Explorer but it is not better than Firefox. More features needs to be implemented.
I installed Chrome and found it fast, but I'm so used to using Flock or Firefox that I haven't played around with chrome to much yet.
