On XP Opera crashes a LOT for me, on ubuntu dual-boot it works like a charm. I have all the big player loaded on my PC: FF/IE/Chrome/safari/opera/old-netscape , and although FF has been acting up lately it's still one of the best. Yes, IE improved but FF is my choice for now - until Opera gets the bugs out in the new version. I was using IE for sometime due to speed, but the latest FF got much better.
I used firefox only because of seoquake - seo addon, that didn't work with Chrome. But now it works, so i can use Chrome and be happy ^^
They all have their uses but Chrome is my personal choice for speed, but I use firefox and IE8 aswel.
I think firefox is still the best browser right now especially for the latest release which more light and not consume more RAM as the previous version.
Seomanu, It depende on the application or the website you want to surf. Normally chrome is the best browser for surfing google related sites (Adsense/Orkut/gmail/googlevideos ETC). Otherwise I use IE8. Or mozilla is also good.
Firefox is the current browser I am using. It is better to use rather than IE. Ive never tried to use chrome but In some cases I will still go for firefox.
Firefox is always stable and the best but chrome is surprisingly good than i expected let the browser war begin for the good
Firefox is great for webmasters with it's add-ons you can find on their website. For example: Search Status (Shows PR, Alexa, Compete, Compete, MozRank)
Google Chrome is fast. Firefox is standard and it has many addons. If you want addons go for FF. If you are interested only in the time taken for the page to load then go for Chrome.
PERSONALLY.. I like Google Chrome. and I use all three. Usually for 2 or 3 facebook/yahoo answers/whatever accounts logged in... I've noticed in Windows 7 64 if you have more than 20 tabs open in firefox or IE8.. They crash randomly guaranteed.. Usually because of flash. Chrome rarely crashes and the "find a solution to this problem online" always saves it... Only thing bad about chrome is Google tracking the shit out of you. Chrome has a built-in keylogger. Typing into the address bar.. whether you hit enter or not.. it's recorded..
Just like every site you visit does, including MSN, Yahoo, Bing, shopping sites, etc. Google is no different. Uh, it's the same thing in other browsers that popup addresses and pre-fetch for you. Chrome is no different.
but they don't record it if you haven't pressed 'ENTER' to send data. Different from a keylogger. news.cnet.com/8301-13860_3-10030522-56.html You're actually referring to search engines that guess your keyword that's based on wat's most commonly searched.. whether in the search box or at the actual site. Either way, Chrome is fast.
Ive been using FF since day 1 but now Im starting to like Chrome although its still FF that I use most of the time. Chrome loads really fast. Well maybe because I have lots of plugins installed in FF.
