I'm using several browsers such as IE, FF, Opera and Chrome, and I prefer FF and IE. Among any other versions of IE, IE8 is the best, it even loads faster than FF.
You are doing us a disservice by using IE. Because IE cannot use most current, modern standards and practices, web developers are forced to dumb down their code, or spend time to create hacks to work around IEs lack of modern technology. If no one would use IE, the web would be faster, more flexible, and more awesome. Do not use IE.
They don't do any more tracking than any other site you visit and can't gather anything other than what you give them, which is the same as you give any other site you visit. Move on.
Until Chrome offers a Linux version I will continue to use Firefox... way to screw over Linux users, Google.
I have just started using chrome on my home pc and it surely is super fast! After the recent update to 3.5.8, FF did not load up DP at one go! I somehow had to refresh it number of times before the pages load up! This prompted me to try out Chrome and it worked like a charm. I will stick with it for a while and evaluate it a bit more to become its fan! Regards, RightMan
Been using FF / Chrome interchangeably. FF still a memory hog - open four tabs - it shoot up to 120,000K. One thing I dislike about chrome is the link by default is underline.
Chrome is really awesome, however I got used to firefox and have some extensions that I can't live without.
Many people on DP seem to love FF. That's their choice. However, I find that FF is slow to start and slower to load than other browsers. I prefer Chrome and IE8. Sorry if that doesn't please some people on here - but I'm only saying what suits me. FF does have some useful add-ons and plug-ins, however, and therefore I do use it for specific purposes for testing my sites.
