it takes 7-10 days for google to transfer funds from my google checkout account to bank account, is this normal?
thanks, i am not happy about it, i can access my paypal funds immediately, i wish google offer something like debit card by the way your location says London, do you have google checkout account?
To Be fair to google on this, most merchant accounts take this sort of time. My merchant account direct with the bank takes 5 days to be cleared and my merchant account with another processing bank takes 8 days before it is in my account. Paypal is fast, of course it is, however, what would you rather use? A genuine credit card processing service or a cheapskate not very professional paypal one! Paul www.rakebackpro.co.uk
Generally speaking, merchants or banks that keep your funds for an unexpected length of time are earning the interest of your money. This is like a free cash flow, they always have this kind of money in their book. Just imagine the case of a bank (or Google for that matter) that has 1 billion dollars to pay; and they keep that money one week; continually, whenever they pay, other clients come with more money to claim; so if interest is 3% say, they make 3% or 30 million dollars; you start to see the bonanza...All these companies that can keep money that does not belong to them can make a killing just on the interest. In fact some companies make their profits mostly from their ability to maintain customers' balances.
