Google checkout vs Paypal

I think we should all switch to Google Checkout. I'm personally fed up with their $0.55 + like 2.9% or something like that commission. Especially when most of my products I sell are like 10 bucks.

Google Checkout only charges 2% + $0.20. If only somehow they can get more users they may be able to compete with paypal and force paypal out of its monoploy and lower its transaction fee and currency exchange fees.

Thats the problem.. they need more people in so that i can say "hey you wanna pay by google?" and i wont get a "uh i dont have an account"

If google wanted, im sure they would be advertising it more and lowering their fees, making some promotions, w/e to get people, but its obvious they arent ready yet.

No that's what I'm saying. Their fees are like half of paypals. If only more people used them, they would dominate paypal.

I'd switch to Google checkout if they become available in my country and if more people uses them.

Ya the problem is not many ppl use it. I'm going to get an account when I have time though. And maybe make some exchanges with others that have it and probably slowly more people will start using it.

I really do hope that one day Google Checkout will be able to compete with Paypal. With stiff competition around, maybe they will consider lower down their fees. Let's see how it goes....
