I hope this is the right Forum. I purchased 2 domains today and i used google checkout. After the purchase i received another email from Google Checkout for $1600. for Computer equipment. The shipping address was to myself in a different state. The billing address was to the one I used on the first purchase. This purchase was definitely fraud. I finally found the order and Google canceled it. Then i sign onto my gmail account and it is disabled. How could this happen? Google Checkout is a secure site. I traced the shipping address to a business in Florida. I am in Ohio. Any feedback would be great. Thak You
It sounds like someone found / guessed your password, and purchased something on your account. Can't really guess how they did that, but they definitely would have to have full access to your account to use it. I would call google and ask them how to get the situation corrected. Hopefully they will restore access to your email and GCO account.
And hopefully refund your money. If you find out the details of how this happened I'd be really interested to know.
