This is good information. Google currently pay a lot of coutries with adsese so google checkout integrated with this countries easy.
I am glad to hear that. One less reason to use Paypal as Google Checkout is fee free through the end of the month. Hooray for Google!
Now that's really good news. But what about sellers outside the US? "Which countries does Google Checkout support? Google Checkout merchants must have a U.S. bank account and address, plus either of the following: A Social Security number and a valid credit card. A Federal Tax ID/Employer Identification Number (EIN). Google Checkout merchants can ship goods inside and outside the United States. U.S. buyers and buyers in a limited number of countries outside the United States can sign up for the service and make purchases (in U.S. dollars) through Google Checkout. We're working toward making Google Checkout more widely available in the near future. At this time, however, we cannot provide any details regarding when Google Checkout will be available in specific countries."
that's only for buyers, so nothing exciting, you don't pay paypal if you buy something. I am pretty sure google will regret its strategy of releasing google checkout, all the buzz before its release is lost now and it became something ordinary. I don't see this as the best way to beat paypal unless they decide to keep their promotions of free transactions for many many months after its release internationally for sellers
Google is waiving their fees through the end of this month. This means that if you use Google Checkout between now and then every transaction gets processed without fees being taken out. So, if you have a $225 deal with a customer, you get all $225.
