    I know fully understand what channel ID is, well i think i do however how can you use this to your benefit?
    I am wondering how can you take advantage of having channel ID, and thinking whether it is worth me adding it?

    You can track each ads performance seperately, if you don't use channels you won't know which ad unit is getting clicks\impressions etc.

    They are also very helpful when you run multiple websites.

    The channels allow you to separate you impressions/clicks by website.

    If you have a channel ad on your website, google can sell that spot to someone who wants it.
