Yes rankings have been all over the place this last week or so. Apparently Matt Cutts claimed it was a glitch, but it just as easily could've been an algorithm update or even a failed algorithm update. A lot of the rankings are settling back down to what they were before this last week.

Maybe, but I just think Google had a "brain fart".

My site went from #104 to #110 to #32 to #27 to #66 to #131 all in the space of 4 days.

Trouble is after it hit #27 I went out to celebrate the progress spending £££ only to come back and find it over #100.

    Ah, the joys of Google.

It's not an algorithm change, per se - it's a feature called "auto correct." It's their answer to the (very) common misspellings that people make when doing searches. They take common misspellings and offer a variation (in the form of the "Did you mean ______?") and then they even go as far as to include results from that variant in the SERP you're viewing.

So it might be an "update" in the sense that maybe they recently instituted auto correct for the keyword "softgroups," but it doesn't represent any major algorithm change.

m checking always at least 10 times in a day. Always getting diff SERP. I think its bcz m between 10-20 serp, so if i get good position may be the dancing will stop. Any how all the sites PR reduced now. One of my site PR5 reduces to PR2 . But di not effect on the traffic, getting more
