Google changed the ranking formula

Well Google has struck again, it's taken me a couple of days and countless hours searching but I have found why my/your adwords terms went from position 1/6 down to nowhere.
And not a mention about this from Google, aarrggghh.

Google has changed the ads positioning algo so now it has shifted from considering only keyword CTR, and now uses information about the relevance of the ad itself, including the Display URL.

Now when you make any change to an ad, the ad in effect does not change, but becomes a new ad and starts with a 0 AD CTR. The ad must then prove itself again. This wasn't much of an issue until it became factored into your CPC (Cost Per Click). This makes it undesirable to change an ad since you're now brand new, in effect and lose much/some/a little of your bidding power.

My problem came about when I started to tweak my adds, every time I changed anything the add would go backwards down the positions and had to prove itself again.
Now I'm pretty fussy about my ads so I like to refine them, I make an ad, watch it for a couple of days then edit maybe one word or replace a comma....every time you touch that ad, it's deemed a new one and down the ranking list it goes.

In conclusion, to rank better the connection between the ad and the keyword is all important....what occurs when you create a new ad depends in part on how well the ad is composed, and particularly on how well it is composed and targeted in relationship to the keyword that brings it up.

I have left the ads alone for a few days and now they are climbing back up.......hello, there's a word I need to change, :D

Have I mentioned I hate Google lately.

really? i didn't know that, i though you will be on top if you set the Maximum CPC higher. that's some bad news you got here.
