Nothing is totally original.......just look at the Music Industry.
Same thing.....they all "borrow" from each other.

This thread is exactly what Google aimed when accused Bing. Google used the negativity surrounding the Microsoft to score a point. They knew that because of Microsoft's past, a lot of people will turn blind eye and believe what Google says. This is exactly what has happened.

Media started printing what Google wanted until the experts in the Search Engine field came forward and rubbished the claims of Google. However the damage may have been done. Pretty Clever trick from Google, but it brought huge criticism for the company as well. And now people have started to think that Google is little scared of Bing. And of course the point you made, Google isn't angel and should not talk about plagiarist.

Uh, no! This came up during a panel discussion about something else. You can find the video of the discussion. Also, Microsoft ADMITS what they've done so stating that what Google claims is false or "rubbish" is totally false and shows you read nothing about this or didn't understand anything about this.

Yes this came during a panel discussion and Google brought this knowing that people will believe it because of Microsoft's past.

What Microsoft has admit is that they collect user data with the help of toolbar and use it as one of the method to improve search results. What they have not admitted is that they are copying Google's results. The practice of using user data to improve search is something that Google started couple of years ago.

I am not taking Microsoft's word on the issue. I am talking about the point of view of several search engine experts who have rubbished the claims of Google. There are several articles quoting these guys saying Google's claims are silly. There is no way Microsoft can use, user data to copy Google's results. Some has even said that for last 1 year Microsoft is trying to show the world that Bing is different then Google. They are coming up with features that are not available of Google therefore there is no point for Microsoft to copy Google's results.
