Looks great. But google is begining to controll most of my life now... SEO, Adsense, Adwords, e-mail, traffic stats, and now calendar... all of my online activity is related to Google now:(

It's good in a sense because you don't have to go to 500 places to get important information; but on the other hand, that is a bit creepy.

Nevertheless, Google calendar totally kicks Mozilla Sunbird's furry little behind!

Google has announced new service as Google Calendar. http://www.google.com/calendar. No doubt this would be a good facility for users, but how would it fit into or supplement Google's revenure model?

    Any ideas?

Umm, I played with it a bit but not enough to really get a feel for what it can do...

I will at a later date when I have more time...

Travel. Google knows where you are from, and can know where you're going to, and when. Airplane tickets, restaurant reviews/prices. Google Base with a convention's information, maybe it can advertise to you.

Or Calendar + Gmail, just to increase its integration, making you use more Gmail (and more ads).

    Maps integration.

If you schedule a lot of meetings, you'll start to see ads about how to manage time, project management software / courses, speech in public.

It's DATA. And that's what Google wants, data about you. The more, the better. More targetted ads.
