Google Caffeine/PR questions

I don't think there has been any PR update (because everyone would be talking about it) but I did just notice my tech site lose its PR from 2 to 0 (my site is still indexed and cached in google). I was wondering if anyone might know why or has experienced the same kind of thing.

And when will google implement their Caffeine search engine? That could have something to do with it.

If you wnt from a 2 to a 0 with out an update somethings wrong. Did you change any page names? If you didnt change any pagenames then you might have been penalized. Are you link trading?

The name of pages are very important. If you change page name or titles they can have an effect. did the whole site drop to 0 or just internal pages?

The whole site im pretty sure, ive only really checked the homepage. So you think its cuz i altered the title tags then... wonder if i can expect it to bounce back or if i have to wait until the next PR update, or if im just plain screwd :| I was ranked #7 for future gadgets but now im bumped back to like page 9.

If google gives a page named "page 1.html" a certain amount of pagerank when you change that name its no loger the same page and you will have to wait till thenext pagerank update to see how much weight/Pagerank Google gives it back. changing content and description will also have the same effect. This can happen is as little as 10 minutes. Create good titles and description and leave them alone. Also dont link trade with link trading sites. This can give you penelties and reduce pagerank. Content is king.

I didn't mess with any of the permalinks or url structures - only the white words in the blue screen (titletagz). Oh well, i guess we shall see what comes of this. thanks for the 411.

This has nothing to do with page rank, it doesn't matter how many times you change this is, it will not affect your page rank. You most likely lost it because whoever you were getting your links from may have also took a hit in page rank and therefore it will affect your site as well.

Pagerank change can be either caused by change in backlinks, link selling penalty or changing the url structure...it has nothing to do with title tag, meta description, content or nature of site.
