Google Caffeine Has Gone libve on one Data Center - Confirmed by Matt Cutts

Well finally after some more silence matt Cutts has confirmed Caffeine to be live atleast 50% of the time on 209.85.225.103 . I actually saw this data set roll out to all data centers for most of the day yesterday but now has rolled back to just the test Data Center mentioned. Just remember if you are testing this dc you may have to hit reload a few times to get caffeine.

really search results suck now !

 

By hitting refresh on the search terms I am using Caffiene is returning a lower number of results.. You can also compare the results to the current Google search. If they are different then you have hit the caffeine DC.

 

Again this is big news and thanks to Barre Tire for picking this up. For anyone who missed the chance to test their search results with that caffeine test website earlier this is important stuff.

 

Well is cafferine also added to country level search or they will add it slowly

 

Thanks for sharing but i think there was another thread about a week ago with the same news.
Checked out some results, seems like twitter pages have been given some importance while Wikipedia seems to have been dropped off a bit.

Well I hope it's not quite that bad. The one thing that I am curious about is the fact that every body for the most part is talking about loosing listing and ranking in the Google search engine. For this to hold true, doesn't hat mean that somebody is getting moved up?

Really, Caffeine affects ranking not just indexing?

 

It is not a surprising news and in most cases you may not see some shocking ranking differences though. It is said that Google is now paying more attention to the on page optimization aspects of the websites.

 

On that data center, you can tell the caffine results because they don't have the "similar" option (well for me), the normal results do show "cached" and "similar"

 

Confirmed! This DC results are the new ones. However, you have to click the link OP gave you instead of type directly to it.

 

The results are more refined.

 

The day they stop sending out "Adsense Checks",.. Loyalty has its price
Till then they dont care how or where they "kiss um" .. lol

Matt did say he would wait to do all the other DCs after the holidays as they dont
want webmasters burning down the googleplex before they have a chance to run

Lots of complaints here, I see. But exactly how is Google supposedly mistreating webmasters, as some are alleging? Pre-Caffeine and post-Caffeine, it's still precisely ten websites that make the first page, thirty that make the first three pages, etc. How is that unfair? How is that targeted at hurting webmasters?

 

Thanks for sharing, a video on it was pretty interesting and I hope it really does help Google and everyone using it.
