Im am not cinvinced this is caffeine. I do see simialar results but not the same.. I am going to do some testing as well.
Well now when I check those datacenters it defaults back to the old SERP listings after you hit search.
So maybe I hit it to late.. I am getting regular serps as well. If that is the case and I missed it it explains why nothing looks different to me.. MC did say the results will not be served all of the time.
These appear to be the old SERPs. IMO, caffeine is not going to be such a SERP change as people think.
Okay looks like I did miss the show. I will keep checking. here is the message I just got about Caffeine. Caffeine is on 66.102.7.18 ? "Yep, it's on all the 66.102.7.XX It IS flickering on and off so those who don't see it may be need to check at different times. "
Thanks M1, most appreciated and will keep an eye over those dc's instep to catch the new destination However, will keep you posted and if anyone came up with something please share it with us.
he's reffering to this page http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/021169.html after this update has appeared "Update #1: Some are saying this data center has moved to 66.102.7.18." and 1 more update by Rusty Brick i've noticed a minute ago saying "Update #2: Google's Matt Cutts replied to me on Twitter saying, "@rustybrick I don't think that IP points to Caffeine." Still any doubts? Actually i see nothing similar with Caffeine serp for my query at 66.102.7.18
You have to remember Matt Cutts is the Head of web spam (which is a different department then search) and does not always know what is going on. You notice he said I don't think? I bet he is checking on it and will report again sometime soon. I guess time will tell.
Because it's been rolled out Otherwise, you can do your own tests and keep an eye on various Google DC's instead of waiting for the MC to post about it
Guess, the results served via that DC was targeting specific countries.. properly based on the IP Address of the searcher tho FYI, many have confirmed the results been caffeinated and am sure it was However, it's been rolled out so we can't really tell... so let's wait and see how it will goes ?
Well this morning from 6:30am-10am PST I was checking my keywords on regular google (not those specific datacenter IPs) and it was showing me the caffeine results (many #1 spots which was there with the sandbox link). I then checked both of those during that time and they were showing the improved rankings as well. Then after 10am I was getting the old SERPs with wwwdotgoogledotcom and from the two datacenters addresses.
