Google Caching

Is it me or is Google slow on updating the cache lately. The current version of cache I have is 3 September. I remember when it used to be weekly, daily sometimes.

Anyone having the same "problem"? or has something changed that I'm not aware of?

    Darren :)

Ditto here too - crawling and indexing appear to be timely.

Yes, I noticed that on Sunday, the cache for my site from the toolbar was Sept. 17. Later in the day it reverted back to the Sept. 9 cache. For my site there was an increase in backlinks and then it went back to the backlinks it has been for awhile. Also, there was a big shift in the serp's - I saw lots of site drop 4 to 5 pages and then again later in the day - the serp's were back to where they were the day before.

I really don't know if I caught something that normally occurs or just "G" doing something to get ready for some major(?) algo change.

    Did anyone else see this?

I have seen the same thing. I did a complete remake of a site a 2 weeks ago. The new pages were indexed and cached. Then 2 days ago all dissappeared and Google was showing the old cache and old pages in the search results. Now when I checked today the new pages and cache are back in place again.

Hmm so its just me then.. Google seems to have slowed down on indexing new pages, and updating the cache. Is it holiday season at Google? :D

i thought G had slowed down it's caching as i was still waiting for a change that i made almost a week ago to register and my cached version is from sept 7th- however after checking other cache dates i found some from the 18th- so i concluded it was most probably be because i update alot less than i used too.

also noticed this while i was looking
