How often on average do Google crawl sites?

Has anyone noticed with their own sites how often their pages are indexed?

    Obviously depends on WHICH site.
From several times per day, to once a month...

Depends on popularity as Google views it.

PR 6 doesn't help as PR is a vague way of monitoring popularity

How often do you change the site? do you get a lot of traffic?

There's no guaranteed way to know how long between crawls, but try to find a pattern in your logs

G's spiders crawl the web quite regularly. PR and inbound links are a couple of the factors which affects the frequency of the crawl, though not the only.

Their crawl process is algorithmic, so only G knows when they will crawl a particular site. Keep your site with fresh content, it attracts the SE's quickly enough though.

As for mine, they get crawled pretty regularly, to keep me ranking pretty we;; for the terms I aim for;)

fresh content may be a factor then because changes to the site do not occur that often. (maybe once or twice a week on the kay pages)(some pages may not be touched for a prolonged period of time)

I guess the best thing to do would be to try and find a pattern in our logs here and make a guess as to when it will be crawled next.

It varies for all sites lol...for some it takes a lot time for second visit, while in some google spiders almost stays there like their homes...
