Google Cache versus Google Custom Search

I have a Google custom search box on my home page. When I add a new page and submit it to webmaster tools at Google, Yahoo!, and Bing, it shows up almost immediately when I search for it in my custom search box on the home page.

But ... if I search for it on a normal Google search page, that same new page doesn't show up as cached for a week or more, sometimes several weeks.

    Anyone know why this is?

I have never experienced this case as well. I know there are customized search results for individual person if you enable its feature. However the cached page were never that different. I mean whether the personalized feature was enable or not, the results of cached page will be the same from my experiences.
