Banging my head against a wall at the moment. I have been writing some really good content for my site to help boost its rankings a little. Hoping it will give me an edge over the scraped competition. However, some pages such as the following:

    http://www.averncleaningsupplies.com/Cleaning_Machines

Just don't seem to be updated since I added the information.

If I search content from the page with quote marks it does now show up in google, and if i search the URL on google in quotes e.g. "http://www.averncleaningsupplies.com/Cleaning_Machines" and view the cache it shows a version of the page from the 15th! (over 13 days ago?)

Can google really of not visited this page in all that time? google seems to index my products within two or three days of me adding them, so why is it not finding category pages? there are 4 - 5 other pages like this that have not been visited in over 2 weeks!

Cant wait till google does find them, It should have a field day!

Well, depending on your cache - it shows you when Google last indexed your pages. If its updated daily, then your site is visited daily by the spiders. It takes time to get faster indexing though.

The site has been up for a year now has got a pagerank of 0 for a few pages, over the NA it had before... my crawl stats in webmaster tools suggest 800+ pages per day are being crawled... but how can it miss these pages so easily?

just give it some time, that's usually normal. I suggest to build links on that particular page.

How about resubmitting sitemap where those new pages included? I think changing the crawling little higher can help, works on mine.

Yeah I will try submitting the sitemap again, I have also been submitting the pages to social bookmarks.

I have set my blog area also to auto ping google blogsearch hope this should all help!
