Google Bypasses Wordpress Seo Plugins?

I realize it is about wordpress, but this primarily concerns the way google reads informations.
I just bought a brand new domain and set up a wordpress blog.
It took about two days to get on google search and showed up today.
However it isn't using my wordpress plugin description/title on the results.
Not that it matters as the site is first result. But is there an explanation? Are the seo plugins pointless?

SEO plugins for WP are not pointless, my bet is that Google indexed your site before you managed to activate and configure your plugin.
Give it some time and it will be fine!

I use WP SEO plugins, and it works fine for me. Title and discription comes out exactly as I directed it too.

Yeah I use all in one, has always been my favorite.
I installed it first thing, before writing any content, that's why I was a bit worried it wasn't working.
