it is similar to facebook/twitter etc, but within your gmail account. do you think it will catch on? here's an article on it: http://www.technorotic.com/2010/02/google-buzz-the-new-facebook/ http://www.divine.ca/blog/2010/02/google-buzz-the-new-facebook/
I cant even remember if i have a gmail account ill have to check this out. i dont like facebook anyway the layout is really confusing compared to bebo and myspace.
Actually gmail inbox integration might be fun so people like me who visits their gmail account all the time may use the site as-well. I was prejudice about Google against Facebook thing as FB is already really popular but it might work for Google.
Google wave has nthing to do wid facebook , buzz is definitely been launched to outrun facebook.!!!! Elan
i dunno it looks odd inside gmail.. if it was a seprate domain then maybe.. but when u have orkut why launch the same thing in diffrent names
Well Google Buzz is different then Twitter and Facebook and personally I feel difference and I mention in my Article here: How Google Buzz is Different from Facebook & Twitter?. Well for me Google Buzz bit different and I think 2010 year is for Google Buzz.
No i don't think that it will be able to compare with the Facebook or Twitter as they are spertae netwoking site, whereas Buzz is a part of gmail, Google. In countries where Google isn't popular or with people who doesn't use Gmail will not use Buzz. therefore it will be a little difficult for the Buzz to make it as big as FB or Twitter.
I can see it becoming popular if small businesses use it to attract customers. For example, if it's raining, the owner can buzz that his business is offering a free large pop with a purchase of a pizza because it is raining. I've thought about this idea in much more detail, but in summary I think it could work.
