    Aren't there some kind of rules for the length of domain names? Why didn't Google buy g.com and use it everywhere? They certainly have the money for it.

    G.com and rest of letters seem to be in the hands of IANA. http://www.iana.org/

    So I dont know if its possible to buy them...I dont think is possible but who nows in the future..

    The ask price for it could be millons!

    It's possible to buy one letter domain in local area. In Poland we've http://www.g.pl :) - It's not exactly Google but it uses google's apps.
