Storys are emerging that Google have purchased Groupon for a nice $2.5billion, shame they didnt have a groupon to get it cheaper? What do you think of this people?

True or False? It might just be cyber monday nonsense, maybe a marketing/linkbait tactic from groupon.... possibly a real deal? I dont know yet?

Has to be false, Groupon is not worth 2.5 billion... I don't know how much they make, but its not even worth 50 million..

Groupon are pretty big time to be honest, there valued quite high, they probaly dont make that much profit at the moment as theyve been investing in massive developments and marketing

if it hasn't happened it will do soon, group-on will be an even bigger force if owned by google, seeing as they can advertise it pretty much everywhere for free with google-ads.

Well if they are making 350 million per year, then that's a different story. I didn't think they were making that much..., 350mil/years still sound kinda high though, what was the source for that.

Groupon's been expanding quite fast...and their business model has actually been copied in a few other countries where they don't have a presence

Google does not have such amount of money to spend, it is a press error, it's not about $2,5 bills.
